Catching Up Is Hard To Do

Wow. I'm so overwhelmed that I don't even know where to begin. I have been so lazy busy the past few days and I feel like I am getting really far behind. On Saturday, the hubs and I spent the entire day sitting on our butts holding down the sofa and chair. That's a tough job, ya know. Good thing we had to tv to occupy our minds while our bodies did the physically taxing part. I only half ass blogged that day so Sunday morning I got up early and checked my google reader and went into a panic! There was no way that I could visit all those posts that day so I gave up and did what any blue blooded American would do and saved them all for Monday at work! Ha! Only, it didn't quite work out that way. See, Monday was the first which means it was billing day. Which means I actually had to WORK. At work. Can you believe this? Anyway, during this time of bad blogger blogging, I have apparently had a few (did you see that a few?) awards bestowed upon me and have also been tagged for a meme so I want to take today to thank the wonderful ladies that gave me the awards and bore tell you 5 interesting things about me! After that, I promise to catch up on your blogs.

Does anyone else out there liken blogging to high school? You know the "circle of friends" that you don't venture out of? (Becki, Toni, Toni, Tori, Jennifer, Heather, Shauna, Jenny you know I love you right? You were there for me in the beginning of my blogging career faux paus, how could I not think that you are fabulous blogging stars?) Today, I want to venture from my "circle" and pass these awards to a few people that I have started hanging around and think that our circles could come together and form one giant one!

Like VDog, since I received the "I Luv Your Blog" award and "Blogging Star" award together, I am going to pass them out together.

Okay, now onto the meme. Serina tagged me to tell you five interesting things about me. (As I sit here trying to come up with something interesting, I am noticing the count on my google reader rising. People! Please! Did you not see the beginning of this post? I am BEHIND! Give it a rest and stop posting at least while I get these 5 things down.)

1. Okay, this is not really about me, but my sister, BIL and niece are moving down here from Kansas. They are going to be staying with us for a couple of weeks until they get a house. What this means is that we will have 8 adults, 4 dogs, 3 cats, 3 hermit crabs and 1 chinchilla in my house. Anyone have a room I can rent? Na. I'm just kiddin. I am really excited about them moving here.
2. The first thing that I do every morning is grab a Diet Pepsi. I have to finish it before I can move on to coffee.
3. I should not have put on make up this morning. Allergy season is kicking in for me and I now look like a raccoon. This post has taken me over two hours (so far) to write because of said allergies.
4. I am only slightly embarrassed to admit that I have the following artists/groups on my Inno (mp3 player, I don't own an iPod): Timex Social Club, Beastie Boys, Peter Frampton (maybe a little more than slightly on that one), T'Pau and Cheap Trick.
5. I almost cut off one of my fingers on my right hand. I was 11 and we were at a horse show. I went back to our trailer to get something out of the tack compartment. My horse got spooked and started backing up. When she did, my hand was pulled under the door to the trailer. All I could see was blood so I handed off my horse to my friend Beth and ran up to the restroom to wash it off. A woman in there saw me and told me she was going to go find my mom. I begged her not to and told her it was just a little cut but she went anyway. When my mom got there, I told her I would be fine and we could go to the ER after my run, but she didn't fall for it. I kept telling her I just wanted to do my run (barrels that is) but in truth, I was afraid of having to get stitches.
